Fans of Babylon Berlin are often confused about how many seasons have been released on Netflix. It is not their fault, Netflix did not do a very good job of making it clear how many seasons of Babylon Berlin there are. When Babylon Berlin first made its debut on Netflix in the United States, It was split up into two seasons each containing eight episodes. Netflix advertised two separate seasons of the show. So what is the verdict? First Netflix tells us that there are two seasons of Babylon Berlin but now they are showing the series as only one season. According to Wikipedia there are two seasons of Babylon Berlin. With more episodes on the way.

But why would Netflix combine two seasons into one?

Netflix likely combined the two seasons into one due to the nature of their release. Seasons one and two were released subsequently without much time between them. At first Netflix honored each season individually but later decided to combine the two seasons into one.

What Does This Mean for the Future of Babylon Berlin?

Babylon Berlin has already been renewed for another season. Although technically we are guaranteed two more seasons of Babylon Berlin Netflix will likely combine what would be seasons three and four into a single season which will be season two. It will be interesting to see how the series continues.
